We had a great day at school, and we learned many interesting things! At 7:35, our classmates arrived and went into our proper places in line. Then, our principal, Ms. Oria, went outside and announced who the Students of the Week were, then she called up a few other teachers and we sang the Jefferson song, “J is for Jefferson”, and waited for our teacher to lead us inside our classrooms and start our school day.
We took off our backpacks and took out all of our homework, lunch, snacks, school supplies, or anything that we needed in class. We then opened our Agendas to the correct page for people to stamp if we did our reading for 30 minutes over the weekend. All of us also got our Accelerated Reading folders, got out our Chromebooks, and put away our backpacks. After we got everything ready for school, our class started our activities.
Everyone got out the Reading Log paper out of their Accelerated Reader folders and quickly wrote down the information about their books such as the Reading Level, the Book Number it is, the date, the name of the book, and other useful information. After, our class read our Accelerated Reading books for 30 minutes. It is wonderful that so many people are reading good books and expanding their vocabulary and imagination! When we finished, our next activity was ELD.
Our teacher instructed the people that went to the other class to go there, and told the remaining people to sign in their partners into the class Gmail account. We worked on our ELD projects for a few minutes, then ELD was over, so the other people that were from the other class went back to their classroom, and our classmates came back. We worked on the computer for a little while by ourselves on our Spellingcity and StoryboardThat accounts, but it was almost time for Recess, so the people who were finished with their work were excused for recess.
Afterwards, we lined up in our correct places in line order, and went inside our classroom when our teacher came out and instructed us to do so. We continued working on our Chromebooks on several projects, such as finding and downloading images to print out for a Skype-related project, and worked on them for awhile. Once we were finished, everyone took out their homework and the teacher collected them. It was about 11:45, so it was time for Lunch. We got our backpacks, wrote down our homework, and lined up outside so we could go to Lunch. We ate our food and played for 40 minutes at Lunch Recess.
Following Lunch Recess, the Fifth Bell rang and our classroom had to line up. We went inside, got our supplies and backpacks and went home. Our class had an excellent day at School!
