Classroom Jobs
Each student will have the opportunity to apply for a classroom job. Applications MUST be submitted on time. ONLY completed applications submitted promptly will be considered for a job. All applications MUST be signed by a parent or guardian. Each job cycle will last for 3 weeks. Applications will be distributed a week before the end of a 3-week cycle. Wages earned will be distributed at the end of the week in the form of Citizen Cash. Below you will find a list of classroom jobs.
Classroom Jobs & Descriptions
¨ Room Maintenance – makes sure the room is clean daily. This will include floor, desk, and trash
monitoring. (2) $5/week
¨ Paper Monitor – Distributes and collects any class work or homework. (2) $5/week
¨ Phone Monitor - answers classroom telephone when teacher is unable to answer (1) $5/week
¨ Door Monitor - opens and closes the door as class comes and goes (2) $5/week
¨ Librarian - in charge of the class library. Keeps the library books in order daily. Makes sure the
library stays organized and clean. Checks in and out books that students have borrowed.
(2) $5/week
¨ Line Leader Monitor - leads the line, stays to the right, and keeps it quiet in the halls (2) $5/week
¨ Plant Technician- waters plants (2) $5/week
¨ Attendance/Messenger – Keeps track of daily attendance. Takes the attendance folder to the office (1)
$5/week
¨ Photographer/Historian - Takes pictures for the class (2) $20/week
¨ Cafeteria Cleaner - stays behind after students finish eating to clean table and pick up any trash on
the floor in the cafeteria (2) $5/week
¨ Snack Collector - retrieves snack basket from cafeteria daily at 9 am (2) $5/week
¨ Reading Log Monitor - stamps each student's agenda for parent signature that signifies student's reading for 30
minutes for homework (2) $5/week
¨ Tech Specialist - turns the computers on when school begins and off at the end of the school day (2) $5/week
¨ Pet Trainer - feeds fish before and after school, change the tank's water (2) $5/week
¨ Uniform Checker - checks to make sure students are wearing their uniform, rewards students with a "free dress"
pass after 2 weeks of wearing a uniform (1) $5/week
¨ Energy Conservation - turns lights "on" before school and "off" after school (1) $5/week
¨ Financial Consultant - pays students their incomes for the week, monitors student's job performance (1) $5/week
